?So, what is your ecommerce I.Q.?? In B2B Magazine there was a similar headline and then pages of data, much of which the general online entrepreneur reader would have found completely interesting. Still, aside from that, it is a decent question so let?s discuss this for a moment. In reality how much do you really know about Internet Ecommerce? If you are involved in a web based business that sells products or services online, you understand that it can be a revenue generator when it?s done correctly.
Perhaps, you also understand how fickle it can be, and how things change rapidly. There is also a seasonality component to the e-commerce world although most people will not readily understand that. Sometimes consumers are in a buying mood, and other times they are not. And despite what everyone else says, e-commerce is also challenged by the global recession.
Luckily, for online businesses there has been a rapid advancement in the number of people willing to use their credit cards online, or establish PayPal accounts to do online transactions.
However, at the same time there are more and more people competing online, so whereas, there is growth in this sector, there is also an ever increasing competition of the numbers and sellers.
Perhaps, this is why B2 B. Magazine wants to know if their subscribers understood their Internet e-commerce IQ. You see, there is a lot more to this game than meets the eye. In fact, I am surprised there are not PhD?s in Internet E-commerce, because that is about the amount of information out there that one needs to study to truly understand this industry. And even once they learn everything it will all change tomorrow. Please consider all this.
